India strongly rejects Pakistan’s ‘nuclear blackmail’

India has taken a firm stand against recent nuclear-related remarks made by Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir. In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) called the comments “dangerous” and “irresponsible,” warning that such rhetoric poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
General Munir, during a speech in the United States, indirectly referred to Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities while making a veiled warning to India. The MEA described this as an act of “strategic intimidation” and made it clear that India will never accept any form of pressure or blackmail in matters of national security.
India reiterated that its nuclear program is solely based on deterrence and is intended for defensive purposes, not for initiating aggression. The ministry urged Pakistan to focus on resolving its own internal political and economic crises instead of attempting to threaten its neighbors.
Experts believe that such statements from Pakistan not only strain bilateral relations but also damage its image at the global level. India’s sharp and clear response sends a strong message that it will not compromise or bow down to coercive tactics in its foreign policy.
Amid this controversy, the international community has urged both nations to exercise restraint and return to the path of dialogue. However, given the current situation, India has signaled that it will take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and sovereignty.
