Jajpur Horror Priestess Beats Girls Claiming Black Magic Spell

Jajpur, Odisha, August 14, 2025 – In a disturbing incident, two girls were allegedly beaten by a priestess and her aide at the Tarini temple in Jajpur district over claims of black magic.

The teenage girl, who had been ill and showed no improvement after hospital treatment, was brought to the temple by her family. Authorities say the priestess and her assistant used canes to physically assault the girls, claiming it was necessary to remove a supposed curse.

Following a complaint, police intervened and arrested the two women. An investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the assault.
