PM Modi Inaugurates Dwarka Expressway & UER-II Projects Worth ₹11,000 Crore in Delhi-NCR

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated two major highway projects in the Delhi-NCR region, marking a historic milestone in India’s infrastructure development. The projects, valued at nearly ₹11,000 crore, include the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), both designed to decongest the national capital and improve regional connectivity.
The Dwarka Expressway (10.1 km, ₹5,360 crore) has been built in two packages. The first stretch runs 5.9 km from Shiv Murti intersection to Dwarka Sector-21, while the second covers 4.2 km up to the Delhi-Haryana border. The expressway integrates with the Delhi Metro (Blue & Orange Lines), Bijwasan railway station, and the Yashobhoomi convention center, providing smooth multimodal transport options.
The second project, UER-II (₹5,580 crore), connects Alipur to Dichaon Kalan with new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat. It will significantly reduce congestion on Outer Ring Road, Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09, while ensuring faster movement of goods and better access for industries across NCR.
Together, these projects are expected to cut travel time, enhance economic activities, and provide a major boost to Delhi’s urban mobility. The government’s continuous push for world-class highways demonstrates its commitment to building a modern and efficient infrastructure network for India.
