SBI Launches ₹4 Lakh Collateral-Free Loan for Agniveers

New Delhi, August 14, 2025 – The State Bank of India (SBI) has rolled out a special personal loan scheme for Agniveers, youth serving under the Agnipath programme. This scheme offers loans up to ₹4 lakh without requiring any collateral or processing fees, making it easier for service members to access funds.

The loan comes with a flexible repayment tenure aligned with the Agnipath service period and a competitive interest rate of 10.50% per annum. Eligible applicants must have an SBI salary account, be actively serving under the Agnipath programme, and demonstrate the ability to repay the loan.

To apply, Agniveers can visit their nearest SBI branch, submit proof of identity and service details, and receive the loan upon approval.

SBI Chairman C. S. Setty said, “Those protecting our freedom deserve our support as they build their futures. This loan is designed to empower Agniveers and help them achieve their goals during and after service.”

This initiative reflects SBI’s commitment to supporting India’s young defence personnel and providing them with financial security and flexibility during and after their service.
